Join us for a unique full-day adventure from Cairo to El Fayoum, where you’ll uncover some of Egypt’s most fascinating natural wonders and protected sites. A professional tour representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo. Enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 95 km southwest of the capital to El Fayoum.
Our day begins at Wadi El Hitan, located inside Wadi El Rayan National Park. This protected area is world-renowned for its 40-million-year-old whale fossils, providing extraordinary insight into the evolution of marine life.
On the way to Wadi El Rayan, we stop at Mudawara Mountain, a scenic and photogenic landmark nestled in the desert.
Next, we visit Wadi El Rayan, a natural depression below sea level featuring two stunning lakes connected by Egypt’s only waterfalls, formed in the 1970s from excess agricultural drainage.
You’ll also have the chance to try sandboarding on the sweeping dunes of Fayoum – a fun and thrilling activity for all ages.
