<span> Program </span>visit the majestic Temple of Edfu

At 7:00 AM, your professional guide will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan for a comfortable drive by private air-conditioned vehicle to Edfu, about two hours north of the city. There, you will explore the magnificent Temple of Edfu, dedicated to Horus and regarded as one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt.

According to ancient Egyptian mythology, this sacred site is where the falcon-headed god Horus avenged his father Osiris by defeating Seth.

Then continue your day tour to Kom Ombo, which the temple is standing on high ground overlooking the Nile. It differs from other temples because of its double entrance; each one is dedicated to divinity: “Haroeris” with his falcon head and “Sobek” with his crocodile head. The Temple of Kom Ombo was built in the honor of two deities, the crocodile-headed Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris, or the ancient falcon-headed Horus. Also, Kom Ombo’s importance lies in its huge sugar-cane.
